Traditional
Uses: antiseptic, antibacterial, antidepressant,
antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, deodorant, diaphoretic,
diuretic (?), febrifuge, fungicidal, insect repellent,
(mosquitos), stomachic, tonic,(uterine, neurotonic,
cardiotonic) stimulant, vermifuge.
Skin: excessive perspiration, oily
skin and hair, insect-mosquito repellent & room
deodorizer.
Muscular/Skeletal: rheumatism and
arthritis pain.
Cardio-vascular/ Lymphatic: speeds
heartbeat.
Immune: colds, flu, minor infections.
Digestive: colitis, intestinal
infections; intestinal parasites.
Genito-Urinary/ Reproductive: eases
pelvic pain.
Nervous Brain/ Mind: fatigue, headache,
migraine, neuralgia, clears the mind.
Emotional/Energetic: Strengthens
our will by stimulating our solar plexus chakra.
Associated with the color yellow it uplifts the
spirit and dispels depression.
Blends well with: Cedarwood, eucalyptus,
geranium, lavender, lemon, peppermint, rosemary,
sage, tea tree.
Satety Data: tested at low doses,
non toxic; however many reports of contact sensitization
and dermatitis. May wish to substitute with lemongrass
or eucalyptus citriodora.
